Privacy Policy

Overview

QuietHalo is designed with privacy at its core. We don't collect your personal information. We don't require accounts. Everything stays on your device.

Data Storage

All data is stored locally on your device. This includes your focus sessions, statistics, settings, and preferences. Nothing is synced to the cloud or sent to our servers.

If you delete the app, all data is removed from your device. We don't have access to it, so we can't recover it.

Analytics

QuietHalo uses anonymous analytics to understand how the app is used and to fix bugs. This data is aggregated and cannot identify you personally.

You can opt out of analytics at any time in Settings → Privacy. When disabled, no analytics data is collected.

Permissions

QuietHalo may request the following permissions:

• Notifications: To alert you when focus sessions complete. This is optional.
• Location (iOS/Android): Only if you enable weather-based taglines. Used to fetch local weather data. You can disable this feature at any time.
• HealthKit (iOS only): Only if you enable HealthKit integration. Used to write mindful minutes to the Health app. You can disable this feature at any time.

Third-Party Services

QuietHalo uses the following third-party services:

• App Stores: Purchases are processed by Apple (iOS) or Google (Android). We don't receive your payment information.
• Weather API: If you enable weather taglines, we use Open-Meteo API to fetch weather data. No API key is required, and we don't send any personal information.
• Crash Reporting: We use Sentry to track crashes and errors. This helps us fix bugs. Data is anonymized.

Children's Privacy

QuietHalo is not intended for children under 13. We don't knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes.
